Every year holiday makers travelling through Vietnam from destination to destination, either from north to south or vice versa. The stretch of coast in Central Vietnam between Hoi An and Hue is one of the most popular. It offers stretches of white sandy beaches, some of the best historical sites in southeast Asia and enticingly relaxed vibe.
The trip from Hoi An to Hue is 145 kilometers and takes roughly 3 hours by car. However, this short stretch of coastline has many sightseeing opportunities and landmarks that should not be passed up! MY SON SANCTUARY
A cluster of abandoned and partially ruined Hindu temples constructed between the 4th and 13th centuries by the Kings of Champa. Many were ravaged during the Vietnam War and has since been named a world heritage site. It is regarded one of the foremost Hindu temple complexes in Southeast Asia.
MARBLE MOUNTAIN
A cluster of 5 marble and limestone mountains representing the 5 elements. It contains many tunnels and entrances – an intricate network that is fun to explore. You will also find several Buddhist sanctuaries can also be found within the mountains and some great photo opportunities at the top of the mountain!
HAI VAN PASS
A breath-taking 21 kilometre stretch of road passing through the mountains between Hoi An and Hue with amazing scenery. Historically, the pass was a physical division between the kingdoms of the Champa and Dai Vet. Also named ‘Ocean Cloud Pass’, it was labelled by Top Gears Jeremy Clarkson as “one of the best coastal roads in the world. A deserted ribbon of perfection”.

LANG CO BEACH
Another stretch of Central Vietnam’s pristine beaches is Lang Co beach. With an inviting ocean, it is a great stop between destinations for both tourists and locals. With 10 kilometers of beach front, it also contains a tortoise lagoon which is a hit with holiday-makers.
